Join us for an evening of outstanding jazz with Chris Whiteman and Justin Kauflin. Joining Chris on guitar and Justin on piano are Jimmy Masters, bass and Aaron Binder,drums. Together they are the Chris Whiteman/Justin Kauflin Quartet.

Justin Kauflin  After loosing his site ate age 11, Kauflin gravitated towards jazz piano despite having a background in classical violin and piano. As a leader, composer and producer, Justin has released over 10 recordings and performed on over 30 albums. As well as being mentored by and performing with the legendary trumpet player Clark Terry ( 2010 Grammy winner for Lifetime Achievement in Jazz)  Terry said Justin was “ The most talented piano player that has ever walked the face of this earth”

Justin was picked up for management by Quincy Jones and performed as a solo artist on his World Tours.

The Quincy Jones documentary “Keep on Keeping On” celebrates the friendship and mentorship between Kauflin and Terry, two jazz greats.

Chris Whiteman has bee described many times as an old soul, a devotee of classic jazz who finds new depth and delight in The Great American Songbook. A performer and educator, soloist and sought after side man, Chris has played venues across the US and Europe including New York’s famed Blue Note, Birdland, The Hollywood Bowl, Monterey Jazz Festival and more. In addition to a performer and educator, Chris is one of the preeminent arrangers for solo jazz guitar. With his talent,, extensive experience and unwavering dedication, Chris Whiteman continues to make an indelible mark on the world of jazz.

Jimmy Masters is a well known and  accomplished Jazz bassist. He has been playing bass for over 4o yeas and countless recordings.Jimmy attended Berklee College of music for a year, afterwards Jimmy studied with legendary jazz bassists, Rufus Reid and Cecil McBee. Jimmy has performed wit a host of jazz luminaries including Bill Evans,Clark Terry, Herb Ellis, Daniel Clark, JC Kohl and many, many more.

Aaron Binder  Drummer Aaron Binder is an accomplished jazz drummer and his emphasis is on rims, brushes and snares rather than a big beat. He has performed with Randall Pharr, Jeff Decker, Tina Hashemi , Royce Campbell and many more
