Featuring players who are well known. The quintet is led by Brian Turnmire and Anna Maria Mottola, who have crafted a show spanning a range of styles with a special emphasis on The Great American Songbook. Expect lush harmonies, and swinging grooves that never go out of style.

Versatile and celebrated pianist, AnnaMaria Mottola, served for twenty years as Lead Pianist, for the United States Marine Band (“ The Presidents own”) in Washington DC. As exclusive pianist for the White House Residence, she had the honor of performing for all living American first families and worldwide heads of state. AnnaMaria is a multifaceted musician, composer, and music producer whose artistry spans jazz,Latin, classical, rock and contemporary genres. She has collaborated with singers and instrumentalists of all styles, creating dynamic performances that highlight her versatility and musical sensitivity.

Kevin Thompson is a double bassist from Fairfax, VA, with experience across orchestral, jazz, and musical theater settings. He earned a Bachelor of Music from Ithaca College and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Cleveland Institue of Music, and has performed with ensembles including the Akron, Canton, and Firelands Symphony Orchestras and the Cleveland Opera Theater. He joined "The President's Own" United States Marine Band in 2022, performing at the White House, throughout Washington, D.C., and on national tours.

Evan Bertoglio is a saxophonist from the DC metropolitan area who performs regularly throughout the region. He began his musical journey in high school, exploring classical and film music before attending James Madison University to study music education. While at JMU, Bertoglio discovered a deep passion for jazz and fusion-sparked in part by the music of Michael Brecker-which led him to shift his focus to jazz studies and pursue his path as an artist.
Bertoglio has performed, recorded, and studied around the East Coast with incredible musicians including John D'Earth, Charles Owens, Emre Kartari, David Pope, Sam Suggs, and others. He is currently pursuing his master's degree in jazz saxophone at the renowned Eastman School of Music, studying under Charles Pillow.

Emre Kartari is a musician and educator with four decades of experience in the world of drum set. He has collaborated and shared the stage with David Liebman, Houston Person, Melissa Aldana, Troy Roberts, Janis Siegel, John Fedchock, Marshall Gilkes, Mike Richmond, Paul Pieper, Anthony Pirog, John D’earth, Howard Curtis, George Colligan, Chris Whiteman, Paul Langosch, Eddie Williams, Justin Kauflin, Jimmy Masters, John Toomey, Chris Brydge, among others.

Emre has curated numerous music festivals, tours, and projects in collaboration with the American Embassy in Turkey and the Fulbright Association. He founded the Izmir International Jazz Camp, which featured faculty from Virginia Commonwealth University, James Madison University, and Graz Conservatory. Emre served as a juror for the National Endowment for the Arts.
As an educator, Emre has held positions at various universities, including James Madison University, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Old Dominion University, where he served as an adjunct faculty member for jazz ensemble and private music instruction.
